Success! I got an early appointment and went to the library to work for 5 hours while I waited on my lab results and my prescription.Kinda sad since it's my last day of work that I know of for a while. It was a beautiful day out today and I always enjoy driving something other than the minivan, so aside from the reason for the trip, it was quite a nice drive :)
It's a Monday so when the kids got home we worked on homework. Well, R & C worked on homework and O spent several hours being distracted.
I built the kids a fort while they were doing their homework. O moved in there to work but R took it over when the younger two started getting reading for bed. I came back in hearing the sounds of a mumbled out-of-tune version of Rock You Like a Hurricane coming from the fort. I sneaked around and snapped this:
Yes, his head is blurry because he was headbanging to the Scorpions. While playing a logic puzzle.
Here's a better view inside the fort:
After I took these pictures. O mused, "I have noticed you've been taking a lot of pictures lately. It's because Dad's gone isn't it?" I explained that he was right because Daddy misses us and he wants to still see what's going on and what we're up to.
Of course when R found out the Pats were playing Monday Night Football, he insisted that he be able to watch the whole game so he could tell Daddy how the game went. Well played, Dad. Congratulations on raising yourself a sports buddy. :)
